Kampala quality school is an entirely Day School with a very caring staff. We always work towards serving you to your satisfaction. You don’t need to hesitate entrusting us with your child.
We strictly mind the age of children. That is a P.1 child must be 6 years or 6+, P.2 - 7 or 7+ etc. He or she must have been born not later than the month of February.
Philosophy
Our main philosophy was teaching for the purposes of understanding and not for the sake of children passing. At the time, teaching was about teaching pupils to pass rather than to understand. We therefore took on various measures to aid this.
We prepare a wholesome child by teaching to reason, to express themselves, building confidence, language command, among others.
We promote and encourage thorough preparation before and after class to enable smart and effectively delivery of the information from the teacher to the student.
We encourage our teachers to read widely in and around a particular subject matter they intend to teach thereby fostering all round learning.
We have a strong belief and philosophy on discipline because without it, its almost impossible to succeed.
At Kampala Quality Primary School, our teaching staff is the backbone of our commitment to delivering quality education. We take pride in our diverse and dedicated team of educators, who bring their passion, expertise, and a deep commitment to our school's mission. Here are some key aspects of our teaching staff and their development:
Diverse Hiring Practices
We believe in providing opportunities for educators at various stages of their career. We hire teachers starting from Grade 3, Grade 5 (Diploma holders), and up to degree-level educators. However, we don't limit our hiring to stringent qualifications alone. We are open to hiring those who have recently graduated, provided they have demonstrated potential and a strong academic foundation. We are committed to offering additional training to help them excel in their roles and assimilate into the unique culture of Kampala Quality Primary School.
Continuous Training and Development
We understand that growth is a lifelong journey. To ensure that our teaching staff continues to evolve and excel, we offer mentorship and training programs. These initiatives are designed to enhance their teaching methods, classroom management skills, and organizational capabilities. We believe in nurturing a culture of continuous improvement among both new and experienced educators.
Support for Education Upgrades
We encourage and support our teachers who wish to further their education. If a teacher aspires to upgrade their qualifications, we provide the opportunity for them to do so, under mutually agreed-upon terms and conditions. This commitment to ongoing learning benefits both the individual teacher and the school community as a whole.
Long-Term Retention
Many of our teaching staff members have been with us for a significant duration. This longevity is a testament to the supportive and enriching environment we provide. We believe that by fostering a sense of belonging and investing in their professional development, we create an atmosphere where our educators choose to stay and grow with us.
Teacher-Parent Meetings (PTA)
Building strong connections between teachers and parents is paramount to us. We organize teacher-parent meetings at least once every year, on a class-by-class basis. These meetings allow teachers to connect with the parents of the children they teach, fostering collaboration, open communication, and a shared commitment to the students' success.
Our teaching staff is not only diverse but also dynamic and dedicated. We believe in providing opportunities for growth and development at every stage of an educator's career. Our commitment to continuous improvement, both for our teachers and our students, is a cornerstone of our educational philosophy. Together, we strive to create a nurturing and enriching environment where both teachers and students thrive.
